Borough of Bath

๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‚If you've found yourself wondering if your home or area of town has been missed for leaf collection we hope this post helps explain the Borough's current leaf policy.

Firstly, being that we're a smaller Borough we currently have only one leaf box [pictured here with the Office Secretary Tanya to scale]. It may look suitable, but only holds about 10 cubic yards worth of debris.

When this leaf box is full - which happens faster than most may imagine - one of our Public Works Crewmen (Steve or Billy) haul the load to First Regional Compost Authority on Weaversville Road. Depending on unloading time, the round trip time is about a half hour to forty minutes. From here the process continues where the truck left off.

There could be a few reasons why this year we seem to be figuratively drowning in leaves, but we always appreciate your calls of 'missed spots' and ongoing patience. We will be looking for ways to amend the policy making next year's leaf season smoother for everyone. ๐Ÿ

Leaf Collection continues until the end of November. Place your leaves curbside before 12/1 in order to be collected.
Once Public Works outfits equipment for winter maintenance, they won't be collecting leaves. ๐Ÿโžก๏ธโ„๏ธ
