In 2016-2017, Bath partnered with the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) to evaluate pressing perceptions of parking spaces and pedestrian walkability.

LVPC dedicated 12 months to complete a Multimodal Safety & Parking Study for Bath. The study was split into two phases. With parking capacity as one main focus, the study uncovered other potential efficiency issues with Bath’s overall transportation network.

From the diligent work of LVPC, this study kickstarted Bath to dive deeper into researching Bath’s broader transportation issues and future goals. The outcome led to the Borough’s Master Long-Range Transportation Improvement Plan.
