Codes

Staff & Legal

The borough contracts with a third-party vendor for general code, zoning & plan reviews. The contracted Code/Zoning Official maintains office hours with the borough from Tuesday through Thursdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The borough also has two part-time Parking & Code Enforcement Officers that work random schedules during the week and some weekends. The part-time officers enforce parking and quality of life codes. Part-time officers may also enforce other code of ordinance violations and zoning laws.

The following two sections are for good reference, providing you the legal basis for how the borough operates or may require certain actions by its residents. First, the Pennsylvania Borough Code, is the legal foundation that grants Bath, as a political subdivision, its powers under the Commonwealth. The second point of reference is the Borough of Bath Code of Ordinances. These are the laws that govern within the municipal boundaries of Bath, created and enacted by the local Borough Council. The laws are then maintained and enforced by the borough administration.

You can also try the Borough’s Parking & Code Officer hotlines 24/7/365. The Borough will make efforts to handle complaints as they are received. Keep in mind that there may not be parking/code enforcement coverage at the specific time of your complaint. Send complaints and photos of a parking or code complaint to the following cell phone hot lines so they can be investigated or will be discussed with the department as part of future patrol consideration:
