The borough administration is overseen by the Borough Manager and staffed with two additional personnel: one full time Office Secretary and a part-time Office Clerk. The Borough is provided professional bookkeeping services from an independent vendor.
The administration office is the central hub for all borough transactions, which include bill paying, sanitation & recycling bill pay, building and zoning permit application and review, subdivision land development applications, maintaining business licenses, park rentals, public inquiry and channeling citizen complaints. The borough administration is responsible for the daily operations of the borough to include handling contracts, vendor programs, managing all accounts payable and receivable.
The administration office also works closely with the Borough’s Solicitor’s Office (legal team) and Borough Engineering Office. Municipalities may have lawyers on staff or contract for services to handle a wide range of municipal functions such as land/real-estate, ordinance and resolution drafting, protection against litigation, policy formation, and general consultantship on any other topics of need. The Borough Engineer conducts subdivision land development reviews, oversees municipal infrastructure projects relative to roads or storm sewer systems, and provides general consultantship as needed.
