On October 10, 2025, Michael Long filed a Northampton County Court of Common Pleas Petition for Review in the matter of OOR AP 2025-1043. The Borough has reviewed Mr. Long’s latest court filing, which is largely frivolous. The Borough is also at a loss as to what Mr. Long is even appealing to the Court of Common Pleas. For example, Long’s Petition indicates an appeal possibly from OOR’s decision to deny his request for reconsideration related to AP 2025-1943, and/or whether the Petition appeals OOR’s final determination at AP 2025-1943. In either case, it is unclear as to what Mr. Long is asking the courts to do.
While Long’s Petition for Review makes little sense, of even more concern, is Long’s repeated use of fictitious case law and asserting legal propositions that either don’t exist or do not stand for the argument he states. Long has even repeated the same false legal theory and case citation identified by OOR’s Chief Counsel in AP 2025-1943 Denial of Reconsideration. Yet Long remains undeterred by the harm he’s committing by submitting these false filings in court, requiring the Borough to spend more time and legal resources responding to and uncovering these frauds.
Information about this matter, as it works its way through court, will be posted here.
